Hello everybody welcome to the five minutes BM podcasts. Last week I discuss about 2011. And as I said, 2011 was a great year, but now it's part of the past. We need to move forward into look forward. I discussed it, that volatility, stability and all of this irrational aspect happens a lot that we saw a lot in 2011, I guess this is my opinion will continue happening in 2012.

So volatility, uncertainty, everything will continue the same way. Does year thinking about volatility. And this will bring to us acute amount of challenges. And now, so a huge amount of opportunity, the bricks, Brazil doing that, China, Russia, they will continue to growing. They will continue to moving on the very fast pace. They will continue to have the money for supplies and for people. But one thing that we'll need to work heart is to show them how good it is to use project management.

Because what we see with shine in 2011, and We may seem to 1,012 is a huge amount of project, but not necessarily a huge amount of project management. So people spending thousands of hundreds of thousands, billions dollars and no project planning, nothing. So this will be a huge challenge, but also a huge opportunity because if we prove more, even more that this is good, that this can make a difference, then the people will use more.

And then we'll when more. So this is a win, win relationship in. If I can share with you two aspects for me that if you ask me, he got what I should study in 2012 in the PM field. First thing, portfolio management in Y portfolio is increasing, increasing and becoming more and more important because we do not have too much money.

We need to the site in a much more precise way. It's not only matching cost benefit, but we need to think above and beyond this concept of only making money, because we need to evaluate our strategy. So portfolio management will link this and this would be a big, big trend for the next Year. This is, was a big trend in 2011, but it's becoming more and more important. The companies must rationalize the use of their resources to our completion, their goals.

And this is Dawn only, only by portfolio management. And second thing is risk management. So this two topics, portfolio and risk and Y risk because of the business stability imagined that you are in the sheep in the middle off a thunderstorm in the bull s**t. If you know better, the weather forecast, if we know better how to handle the sheep during this study time, you will become more successful on the arrival.

So this is what risk management can bring to the company. So a see a lot of people using technical tools in risk management, more simulation to one, understand trying to forecast at least a little bit more that we are doing today in the future in Y does. This is exactly because this volatility is part of the game right now. If we return back to 2006, the thousand and five, the planet was perfectly imagined.

The nineties, the planet was perfect. Everything that you produce, someone will buy, but I know now imagine the technology and everything involved in it, you do something you win, you do the next step you lose. So it sure and stable, and this brings huge amount of opportunity. So think about Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. So, I'm not talking about the two, but imagine in how fast he built an enterprise that could Valley in 2011, when they go public much more, much more than most of the company's in the planet.

And this doesn't exist a couple of years ago. So this volatility brings a huge opportunity, but also a big, big trap. And I'd like to finish this Podcast I was thinking about sending 'em an end of the year message and pulsing on my website. And then I decided to do this In this podcast. If I can summarize one wart that you must think, and this I'm telling, this is exactly not 40.

The people that went extremely success in 2011, this I say, congratulations, great job. This message is for the people that you had a challenging year imagined that you are trying to use project management. Then your boss doesn't want to do that. They don't respect you. You are working hard and they don't care about what you are doing. So for this people, when you are on the SI waiting for the new IRRs, trying to jump the wave's or counting from ten two zero before the new year's, there is one word that I like to share with you that you must keep in your mind.

It's you need to believe in yourself. You need to believe. You need to believe because maybe 80% of your success relies on you relies on your ability to be flexible, CreaTV to innovate and to find new ways of doing business of doing project management. You must trust in you. You must stress. So in this time I say I'm competent. I'm a good enough and prepare it for everything.

And 2012 will be a great year for me. And next week I'd like to share with you, how do I plan? How do I use project management to plan my Year and does will be the two that we'll be using in January to prepare the most successful ear.
