Hello everybody welcome to the five minutes BM podcast today. I like to share with you one comment that I have in my mind all the time is that Success is a Danger. And why I put this name on this? Podcast it's just a kind of provocation. I want to challenge all of you that are listening this podcast to think about that, because of course, failure, that's not a Danger failure is a trauma. So of course I'm not talking that failure is good, but success is something that requires attention.

And this is in all cases on the project life and out in our own life in why this, because if we are child success in a project and Dan sexist again, and the second one, Success again, in the third one, you start over trusting in yourself in your team. You need to trust yourself, but not overtrust. And to say, I don't need to plan, I don't need to do anything.

I just need to dress that. Our find a way, this is a very Danger and some kind of arrogant approach. A lot of companies are suffering a lot on this. A lot of companies, Y because they are launching products and the products, they just don't work. And it worked at perfectly many, many times in the past. And right now they are facing this challenge. So a lot of very successful companies are not successful anymore.

Why? Because we need one verse 10, that the word is changing very fast. And every success we have, it's one step above. But this is, this is a long, long staircase, very long stir. And we need to understand that the challenge increase every time. If I ask you, what was your most difficult project? You'll say, Oh, it's the one that I'm doing right now.

Or its the one that I did last month. It's very unusual that someone else, Oh wait was the product that I did five years ago. He turned back five years and we see the projects. We did that that time and we'll see, Oh, this project, he was very easy compared with the projects I'm doing right now. Why? Because everything is becoming more or less the complex. If we do not understand this. And if we do start over relying on ourselves, we'll say, Oh, I don't need to produce this WBS.

I don't need to do this project chart. This is a waste of time. I did many, many times. So I have everything on the top of my mind. This is exactly what the call, a very dangerous path because of the success in the past, it's a great lessons learnt, but it doesn't mean that in the future, you we'll be using a 100% of you who did in the past and was successful right now.

Imagine the war today and the war 60 something years ago, the second world war imagined. It's a little bit different kind of war. It's a completely different kind of conflict. So that the way you deed in the past doesn't mean too much right now because you don't know the enemy like the terrorist. You do know the enemy. So maybe you were very successful in one scenario.

But when the scenario changes, you're not ready to do that. So what is the key message on this podcast is that we need to be humbled to understand that proper planing will always help. I will always, if you fail in the past, you need to do plans to avoid failing. Again. If you were successful in the past, this is very important to rainfall, of course, and also captured those lessons, learn to do something different, but don't tell me that I don't want to plan because I was very successful.

I don't need to do that because I'm better than everyone don't do that because this is a very risky path. And I know a lot of people that were very, very hurt by this in the past. So think about that. Success is a dangerous Success is wonderful. It's one of the best things in the life, but we need to understand that the Success we have right now doesn't mean too much for the success we need to be in the future.
